Construction Estimator - Commercial Construction (Interior Trades) - Base Salary to 125k/year - Minneapolis, MN

• Our client is a commercial construction subcontractor specializing in interior demolition and carpentry scopes across projects including healthcare, retail, hospitality, restaurants, parks, and education.
• This is a preconstruction-focused Construction Estimator role responsible for performing detailed quantity takeoffs, plan reading, and bid generation . This position is heavily focused on interior trades estimating and requires strong proficiency in reading commercial construction drawings and producing accurate, high-volume estimates.

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for demolition and interior carpentry scopes from commercial construction drawings
• Review and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications for bidding purposes
• Prepare and submit accurate cost estimates and proposals using estimating software
• Utilize Sage Estimating to generate, track, and manage bids
• Conduct site walks and field verifications for demolition scopes
• Track bid activity, follow up on proposals, and document outcomes
• Collaborate with internal preconstruction and leadership teams on pricing strategy
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project scope and quality

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating
• Proven experience performing quantity takeoffs and plan reading for commercial construction projects
• Estimating experience within one or more of the following trades:
  • Demolition
  • Carpentry / rough or finish carpentry
  • Drywall / framing
  • Painting
  • Acoustical ceilings
  • Tile or interior finishes
• Experience using estimating software (Sage Estimating strongly preferred)
• Ability to work on-site in the Minneapolis, MN office
