Job Summary

The Grocery Store Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring that the store has the right amount of stock at all times, and minimizing waste and spoilage. The Inventory Control Specialist will work closely with the store manager and other team members to ensure that the store is well-stocked and that customers can find the products they need.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records using the store's inventory management system
• Monitor inventory levels and order products as needed to ensure that the store has the right amount of stock
• Track product expiration dates and minimize waste and spoilage
• Work with the store manager and other team members to ensure that the store is well-stocked and that customers can find the products they need
• Perform regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and take corrective action as needed
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products
• Train and supervise other team members on inventory management best practices

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in inventory management or related field
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office

Working Conditions

The Grocery Store Inventory Control Specialist will work in a retail environment and may be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. The position may require standing for extended periods of time and lifting and moving heavy objects.
