HR Generalist  (English/Spanish) Location: Reno, NV (100% Onsite) Pay Rate: $28.40 / hour Experience Level: Entry Level (1–5 Years)

The Opportunity Are you an HR professional looking to grow your career in a dynamic, hands-on environment? We are seeking an HR Generalist to join our team in Reno. This is an entry-level role perfect for someone with a foundational knowledge of HR who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys supporting a diverse workforce.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the full cycle of hiring, from posting jobs and screening resumes to scheduling interviews and conducting background checks. Lead new hire orientations to ensure a seamless transition for every team member.

• Employee Relations: Support conflict resolution, assist in investigations, and help implement disciplinary actions when necessary. Proactively drive morale and retention through engagement strategies.

• HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records and ensure full compliance with legal requirements. Administer benefits and employee recognition programs.

• Communication: Act as a key resource for our Spanish-speaking workforce, translating HR policies, procedures, and benefit information to ensure all employees are well-informed.

• Compliance & Audits: Support continuous improvement frameworks, participate in safety and operations audits, and manage data integrity within our systems.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Language: Must be fluent in Spanish and English.

• Experience: 1–5 years of experience in Human Resources.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS software.

• Soft Skills: interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive information with total discretion and confidentiality.

Preferred Skills

• MBA or Master’s in Human Resources.

• Experience with HRIS implementation or advanced administration.

• Attention to detail and knowledge of employment laws.

Responsibilities

Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process, including job postings, resume screening, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks. Support employee orientation and training activities, ensuring new hires are equipped with necessary information and resources. Assist in the administration of HR programs and initiatives, such as employee benefits, and employee recognition programs. Assist in support for employee inquiries and requests regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits, providing guidance and assistance as needed. Maintain accurate employee records and documentation, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies. Assist in conducting employee relations activities, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Prepares and distributes HR related communications. Assist on special projects as needed, including support of ongoing continuous improvement framework; data audits; participate in safety and operations audits and initiatives. Proactively implement positive employee engagement strategies and initiatives to drive improvement in morale and retention.
