This on-site contract position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care in a dynamic medical practice environment.

As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a crucial role in assisting with pre-operative and post-operative care, supporting surgeons during procedures, and ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care. Your expertise will directly impact our surgical outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pre-operative and post-operative patient care
• Support cardiothoracic surgeons during surgical procedures
• Conduct physical examinations and medical histories
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing or relevant field
• Current NP or PA license in the state of Georgia
• Experience in cardiothoracic surgery or similar medical practice
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to patient-centered care
• Basic life support (BLS) certification required

Schedule: 24-hour beeper call, 1 weekend per month

Daily Volume: 8 patients

Duties: Consults, ED, CVICU, and anything related to CT surgery

Team Structure: 1 Surgeon, 2 APPS, floor and OR nurse structure

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
