Urgent Hire - Marketing Director (Legal Industry)

Executive Opportunity

An established, growth-oriented law firm is seeking a high-impact Marketing Director to take full ownership of firmwide marketing strategy and execution. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role designed for a proven legal marketer who thrives on autonomy, accountability, and measurable growth.

This position offers the opportunity to build, scale, and lead a comprehensive marketing function across multiple offices and practice areas. Candidates must bring prior law firm marketing experience and a strong understanding of professional services branding, attorney visibility, and revenue-driven marketing.

Role Scope & Impact

The Marketing Director serves as the firm's sole owner of marketing operations, responsible for strategy, planning, creative development, and execution across all channels. This role blends executive-level thinking with hands-on delivery and is critical to the firm's continued expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Growth

* Design and execute firmwide marketing strategies aligned with long-term growth objectives
* Strengthen brand positioning, market visibility, and competitive differentiation
* Identify scalable opportunities to increase lead generation, referrals, and community presence

Full-Funnel Marketing Execution

* Independently manage all marketing initiatives from concept through execution
* Lead marketing efforts across multiple office locations and practice areas
* Own timelines, priorities, and deliverables with minimal oversight

Digital Marketing & Content Authority

* Oversee website management, SEO performance, and digital advertising
* Develop high-impact written content for blogs, newsletters, announcements, and social media
* Conceptualize, film, and edit video content highlighting attorneys, campaigns, and community engagement

Creative Production & Photography

* Capture and produce all photography required for marketing materials, including:
* Attorney bios and headshots
* Firm events and community outreach
* Office and location imagery
* Digital and social media campaigns

Project & Vendor Management

* Lead all marketing projects end-to-end
* Manage and direct third-party vendors while maintaining firm standards
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, on brand, and within budget

Analytics, Reporting & ROI

* Track and analyze KPIs including website traffic, conversion rates, advertising performance, and engagement
* Deliver data-driven insights and actionable recommendations to firm leadership

Communications, PR & Reputation Management

* Write and manage newsletters, press releases, and internal communications
* Monitor and manage online reputation and review platforms

Community Engagement & Expansion

* Plan and execute community outreach initiatives, sponsorships, and events
* Lead marketing for new office openings, expansions, and firmwide announcements

Budget & Resource Management

* Develop, manage, and optimize the annual marketing budget
* Evaluate, negotiate, and oversee vendor contracts

Required Qualifications

* Mandatory: Prior law firm marketing experience (legal industry background required)
* Minimum 3+ years of progressive, hands-on marketing experience
* Experience supporting an organization with $5M+ in annual revenue
* Proven ability to independently own and execute a comprehensive marketing program
* Advanced skills in:

* Digital marketing & SEO
* Performance analytics & reporting
* Brand development & content strategy
* Proficiency with design tools, photo/video editing, marketing platforms, and CRM systems
* Exceptional writing, editing, organizational, and communication skills
* Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-location environment
* Familiarity with legal marketing guidelines is a plus (not required)
