Job Description

Join a dynamic team specializing in custom metalwork, creating unique pieces such as staircases, railings, gates, fireplaces, kitchen hoods, and custom countertops for both residential and commercial clients. Our projects include collaborations with renowned companies in the industry, ensuring a variety of exciting challenges.

• Perform all variations of welding and fabrication, primarily focusing on TIG and MIG welding.
• Work with a variety of materials including mild steel, aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized metal, carbon, sheet metal, and copper.
• Operate equipment such as brake presses, shears, plasma cutters, rollers, and use brazing and soldering techniques.
• Accurately read and interpret blueprints and tape measures.
• Maintain a clean driving record to facilitate traveling to and from job sites.

• Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding with at least 2 years of experience.
• Experience in metal fabrication, particularly in custom work.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong understanding of various metals and their properties.

• 2 years of metal fabrication experience.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

Located just 3 miles from the beltline, the shop features large airport hanger doors and is set on a beautiful plot of land, providing great airflow. Work half the time from Monday to Thursday and the other half from Tuesday to Friday, from 7 am to 5 pm. Enjoy optional overtime up to 10 hours a week, with most employees working 2-5 hours. Join a smaller, close-knit team of 15 in a fairly clean shop environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MADISON, WI.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
