Job Description

Salaried position- 40 hours/week

We are a growing company looking for a dependable, motivated individual to join our team.   No prior experience is required—we will train the right person.   This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn a skill, work consistently, and grow with a company.

Duties

You’ll be part of our daily bagel production and order fulfillment. Responsibilities include:

  • Boil and bake bagels   following our process to hit quality and consistency standards
  • Scale/handle flour and dry goods  (measuring ingredients, moving inventory, keeping supplies organized)
  • Bag, label, and organize bagels   for walk-in and delivery orders
  • Prep delivery orders  (staging racks, counting, packaging, loading)
  • Mix and portion cream cheese   and other spreads using mixers and food-safe handling
  • Maintain a   clean, organized workstation   and follow food safety and sanitation standards
  • Deliver bagels   to local customers using company vehicle and ensure orders are accurate and on time. Note: Deliveries are to surrounding clients in Indiana, and to downtown Chicago locations. The delivery drive duration + drop off is about 3 hours round-trip (these hours are accounted for in the 40 hour work week).

What We're Looking For

  • Reliable and punctual—this role supports early production and on-time deliveries
  • Able to follow recipes/processes and pay attention to timing and detail
  • Delivery requirement:   Valid driver’s license and clean driving record;   comfortable driving into Chicago
  • ServSafe certificate a plus but not a necessary.   We will train and provide opportunity to obtain certification.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to lift and carry up to  [40–50] lbs  (flour/dry goods, racks, trays)
  • Comfortable working around hot ovens/steam and handling food safely

Note: We are a production facility. The job inside our bakery alongside our general manager & part-time production and delivery associate. It is a small team where each individual is in charge of their own tasks.

Monday - 6am-4pm
Tuesday - 5am-11am
Wednesday - OFF
Thursday - 5am-11am
Friday - 5am-1pm
Saturday - 5am-3pm
Sunday - OFF
