Project Accountant – Commercial Construction 
Location: Miami, FL (On-site)

We are representing a well-established and growing Commercial General Contractor seeking a  Project Accountant to support their project teams across multiple active job sites. This is a key role responsible for ensuring accurate financial administration, timely subcontractor payments, and clean project cost tracking throughout the project lifecycle.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage project billing cycles including owner pay applications and subcontractor billing process
• Review and process subcontractor invoices, lien waivers, insurance compliance, and payment schedules
• Maintain accurate job cost reports, budget updates, and committed cost tracking
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Field Teams, and Accounting Leadership to ensure financial accuracy
• Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable across multiple concurrent projects
• Reconcile cost codes, purchase orders, change orders, and pay applications
• Assist month-end close and project financial reporting

What You Bring:

• 3+ years’ experience in construction accounting with a General Contractor 
• Strong understanding of project-level financials: pay apps, job cost, retainage, WIP tracking, etc.
• Ability to work across several active jobs simultaneously with tight timelines
• Proficiency in construction accounting software (CMiC, Vista, Sage, Procore Financials, etc. a plus)
• Clear communication and comfort collaborating with operations teams and external partners
