Onix is currently seeking a dedicated, self-motivated individual to fill the role of Quality Assurance Analyst
Primary Responsibilities The Onix Product Development Team is dedicated to providing software solutions to both the internal and retail marketplaces. As a member of the product development team, a qualified individual will participate in test driven development. They will design, build, launch, monitor, and maintain a suite of tests that interact with Onix products applications. They may be called upon to augment existing operational structures including but not limited to user acceptance testing, end user workflow & design, and end user support.
Scope/Level of Decision Making: This is a non-exempt position operating under limited decision-making with moderate supervision. Position performs a variety of assigned activities, referring more complex issues to the appropriate team lead.
Reports to: Appropriate Onix Product Development Team Lead
- Collaborate with teams to provide input for test driven development
- Build individual application tests that can be modularized into suites for automation
- Seek automation where possible in testing system components
- Document manual tests for repeatability
- Participate in daily/weekly development ‘sprint,’ activities
- Augment when necessary, other operational activities required for software development
Required Skills And Experience - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other analytical educational framework
- 2+ years of agile development experience
- Automation testing experience
- Manual testing experience: documentation & repeatability
- Empathetic understanding of end user workflow
- Development ‘sprint,’ experience
- Strong understanding of SAAS deployment
- Detail oriented communication focused on repeatability
- Understanding of web browser developer tools
- Ability to navigate multiple application versions or environments simultaneously
- Strong ability to learn new technologies quickly without direct oversightTravel Expectation: less than 10%
Preferred Skills and Experience - Development ‘sprint,’ experience: JIRA, RallyDEV, Trello
- Automation testing experience: Selenium, Katalon, Telerik, Cucumber
- Understanding of system design: UI, Business Logic, Storage
- Understanding of G Suite Apps: Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive
