Senior SEO Manager Technical SEO & AI Search (Remote)

We are seeking a Senior SEO Manager for a global B2B high-tech company. In this role, you will own everything from site architecture, crawlability, and structured data to content strategy, optimization, and performance measurement. You will report directly to the Senior Manager of SEO & AIO and collaborate with engineering, content, product marketing, demand generation, analytics, and martech teams to deliver scalable, measurable impact across traditional search engines and AI-powered discovery surfaces

This is a 5.5-month contract (extensions possible), 40-hour per week remote role in the US.

This is a W2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee, with health benefits and 401K offered.

Responsibilities:

Technical SEO

• Own the technical SEO workstream: site architecture, crawl efficiency, indexation, page performance, and AI search readiness.
• Lead technical audits and prioritize fixes across metadata, canonical tags, hreflang, internal linking, robots.txt, sitemaps, and Core Web Vitals.
• Implement and optimize structured data (JSON-LD / schema.org) to improve SERP features, AI Overviews eligibility, and entity-level visibility.
• Partner with engineering and web development teams to evaluate technical changes for SEO impact, provide clear requirements, and ensure proper implementation and QA.
• Drive log file analysis and crawl data interpretation to identify and resolve issues limiting search engine and AI bot access.
• Monitor technical SEO health using enterprise tools (e.g., Screaming Frog, Botify, Lumar, Google Search Console) and surface actionable insights.

Content Strategy & Optimization

• Develop and own a comprehensive SEO content strategy aligned to user intent, buyer journey stages, and priority solution areas-balancing traditional search demand with AI-driven query patterns.
• Build and maintain a content roadmap identifying net-new opportunities, competitive gaps, and optimization targets for existing pages.
• Translate LLM and AI search behavior insights into actionable content strategies-including entity coverage, answer-level optimization, and structured content formats for AI Overviews and conversational search.

Measurement, Reporting & Intelligence

• • Monitor performance across traditional search engines and AI-powered discovery surfaces; identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
  • Own SEO experimentation-A/B tests on titles, structures, formats-and maintain a learning agenda to continuously improve.
  • Conduct ongoing competitive analysis to identify where competitors are gaining or losing organic and AI search visibility.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of hands-on SEO experience spanning both technical and content disciplines, ideally within a large-scale B2B SaaS or enterprise web environment.
• Deep expertise in technical SEO fundamentals: crawling, indexation, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, JavaScript rendering, and mobile optimization.
• Proven track record developing and executing SEO content strategies that drive measurable improvements in rankings, traffic, and pipeline contribution.
• Strong knowledge of structured data formats (JSON-LD, schema.org) and experience implementing and validating schema at scale.
• Proficiency with HTML/CSS and familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular) and their SEO implications.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise SEO tools (e.g., Screaming Frog, Botify, Lumar, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Looker).
• Understanding of how LLMs and AI-powered search surfaces crawl, index, and surface content-and the technical and content implications for optimization.
• Excellent writing, editing, and content direction skills; ability to produce and refine high-quality SEO content and provide clear feedback to writers.
• Strong analytical skills; proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, prioritized requirements for engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.

Nice to Have

• • Experience with international/multilingual SEO (hreflang, geo-targeting, localization).
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager, WordPress) and how CMS architecture affects SEO.
  • Familiarity with CDN configuration, edge SEO, and web performance optimization.
  • Exposure to GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) strategy and SEO A/B testing platforms (e.g., SearchPilot).
  • Basic scripting skills (Python, JavaScript) for automating audits or processing large datasets.

Compensation: $100/hr. - $105/hr.
