Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in the efficient handling and transportation of freight. You will be responsible for loading and unloading freight, ensuring the accurate sorting and labeling of goods, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.



Responsibilities

• Load inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers.
• Unload inbound and outbound containers and sort according to size of freight and destination.
• Read, decode, and decipher freight coding to expedite freight movement and tracing process.
• Reconcile driver pick-up and delivery manifests.
• Label, weigh, and dimensionalize freight.
• Perform cleanup activities in the work area to ensure safety and cleanliness of the dock.
• Record damaged shipments and misrouted freight on applicable reports.

Schedule

1a: 5am-5pm Sunday to Tuesday, every other Wednesday $23/hr

2a: 5pm-5am Sunday to Tuesday, every other Wednesday $25.50/hr

1b: 5am-5pm Thursday to Saturday, every other Wednesday $23/hr

2b: 5pm-5am Thursday to Saturday, every other Wednesday $25.50/hr

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Independence, KY.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
