About the Role

Talpa Supermarkets is seeking a Bilingual Store Operations Supervisor to support daily store operations and help lead a high-performing, customer-focused team. This role partners closely with the Store Operations Manager to ensure smooth operations across departments, strong team engagement, and consistent execution of company standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role with clear growth potential into a Store Manager position. Fluency in both Spanish and English is required to effectively support our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations & Leadership

• Support the Store Operations Manager with daily store operations across departments
• Supervise, coach, and motivate associates to deliver excellent service
• Step in as Acting Store Operations Manager when the Store Operations Manager is absent
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and procedures

Team Support & Development

• Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling
• Support performance management, coaching, and corrective action processes
• Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment

Customer Experience & Merchandising

• Ensure high standards of customer service and resolve escalated concerns
• Support merchandising standards, promotions, and pricing accuracy
• Monitor store appearance, cleanliness, and organization

Inventory & Administrative Support

• Assist with inventory control, ordering, shrink prevention, and receiving
• Support cash handling, POS processes, payroll inputs, and reporting
• Help track sales performance and operational KPIs

Qualifications

• Bilingual (Spanish & English) – required
• 2–4 years of retail or grocery management experience
• Strong people leadership, communication, and customer service skills
• Experience with inventory management, POS systems, and scheduling
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
• Knowledge of retail safety and loss-prevention practices
• High school diploma or GED required (college coursework preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (basic reporting and analysis)
