Position Summary

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operational activities, maintaining workflow efficiency, ensuring accurate order processing, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs). This role requires strong computer skills, an analytical mindset, and the ability to work both in an office setting and on the warehouse floor. The supervisor provides hands-on leadership, supports staff throughout the shift, and ensures that operational goals and service standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, staging, shipping, and inventory functions.
• Coordinate labor allocation and adjust workflow priorities based on volume and operational needs.
• Identify and resolve issues related to product flow, staging, or system discrepancies.
• Maintain accuracy and efficiency across all processes.

KPI Monitoring & Reporting

• Track and analyze operational KPIs such as:
  • Productivity metrics
  • Accuracy and compliance rates
  • On-time processing
  • Inventory integrity
• Prepare daily and weekly reports summarizing performance and trends.
• Provide actionable feedback and recommendations for improvement.
• Communicate results to internal leadership.

Team Leadership

• Lead, coach, and support warehouse associates throughout the shift.
• Conduct shift-start meetings, safety updates, and task assignments.
• Assist with employee training, performance feedback, and corrective actions.
• Support scheduling and attendance tracking.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce company and regulatory safety standards.
• Conduct safety walkthroughs and report incidents or hazards.
• Maintain clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas.

Technology & System Skills

• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning equipment.
• Use Excel, reporting tools, and internal systems to gather and analyze data.
• Troubleshoot basic system or equipment issues.

Hands-On Operational Support

• Assist on the dock as needed, including loading, unloading, pallet building, staging, and cycle counts.
• Maintain a visible presence on the warehouse floor to ensure workflow efficiency.
• Support resolution of discrepancies directly within the operation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehouse or distribution experience.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong computer proficiency, including Excel and warehouse systems.
• Ability to understand and communicate KPI results effectively.
• Comfortable working both in the office and in physically active warehouse environments.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
