Job Description

Wood Finisher

Custom Cabinet Manufacturing

Pay: $25–$27/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM (approx. 45 hours/week , guaranteed overtime)

Why You’ll Like This Role

If you take pride in craftsmanship and enjoy working on high‑end, custom wood products , this is a great opportunity to join a small, family‑owned cabinet shop where quality matters more than speed. This is not assembly‑line work—each project is unique, and your finishing skills truly show in the final product.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Stain, paint, and finish custom wood cabinets to a high‑quality standard
  • Prepare surfaces for finishing, including sanding and paint prep
  • Perform quality checks to ensure finished products meet expectations before shipping
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Work at your own workstation building and finishing cabinet components
  • Help oversee the finishing area and support/train entry‑level finishers as needed
  • Assist where needed to keep projects on track

What We’re Looking For

  • 1+ year of wood finishing experience (cabinetry or similar wood products)
  • Experience staining, painting, and surface preparation
  • Comfortable applying stain by rag and achieving consistent finishes
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools confidently
  • Cabinetry experience is a strong plus

What’s In It for You

  • Competitive hourly pay with built‑in overtime
  • Consistent weekday schedule—no rotating shifts
  • Small, close‑knit team (about 23 employees)
  • Family‑owned environment that values craftsmanship
  • Stable, long‑term opportunity with steady hours

Work Environment

You’ll work in a small manufacturing shop focused on custom residential and commercial cabinetry , not mass production. The culture is hands‑on, collaborative, and quality‑driven.
