Job Summary:

The Handyman position involves performing general repairs, maintenance, and minor installations across residential or commercial sites. This role requires hands-on experience, the ability to work independently, and strong skills across multiple trades such as carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrical work. Ideal for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out routine maintenance and general repair tasks
Perform light plumbing, carpentry, drywall patching, and painting
Install shelves, doors, fixtures, and hardware as needed
Troubleshoot and resolve minor electrical or mechanical issues
Keep work areas safe, clean, and organized
Communicate effectively with supervisors, property managers, or clients

Qualifications:

2–3 years of experience in general maintenance or handyman work
Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Physically fit and able to lift, bend, and work in a variety of settings
Capable of working independently and managing time efficiently

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in property maintenance or facility support
Basic knowledge of building codes and repair standards
Valid safety certifications (e.g., WHMIS)
Own tools and reliable transportation
Ability to interpret instructions, sketches, or repair manuals
