We are seeking a talented and experienced 2D Artist / Concept Artist to join our dynamic team for a new  Otome game  project. Ready to shape the future of gaming? Responsibilities:

• Create visually compelling environment concepts that define new game locations and mechanics, focusing on mood and atmosphere, and collaborate closely with the Game Director & Lead Artist.
• Create prop design sheets that effectively communicate design details and aesthetics, providing guidance for 3D artists during the modeling process.
• Create highly polished key art pieces (Character illustration) that can be used for marketing purposes and in-game presentation screens.
• Work collaboratively with other environment and character artists to ensure a cohesive visual style throughout the game.
• Provide feedback and paintovers to the wider art and design teams, actively contributing to problem-solving and maintaining high-quality standards across the game world.
• Understand the game's vision, actively participate in playtesting, and effectively navigate game environments using Game Engines (Unity / Unreal 5) for debugging.

Requirements:

• Otome Game Art Experience:  Proven ability to design captivating characters and beautiful aesthetics tailored specifically for Otome games. A deep understanding of the genre's distinct art styles, romantic appeal, and player expectations is essential, as our next major project will be an Otome game!
• Proficient in Photoshop with expert-level capabilities, and familiarity with a variety of 3D software pipelines to approach concept work from different angles.
• Proficiency in creating detailed and descriptive prop design sheets, including clear annotations and callouts, to facilitate the modeling process for 3D artists.
• Strong artistic background with a solid foundation in traditional art skills.
• Excellent understanding of color theory, composition, and perspective.
• AI-Augmented Workflow:  Hands-on experience incorporating generative AI into your creative process. We see generative AI as a catalyst for human ingenuity—a workflow enhancer meant to supercharge your art, not replace your unique voice.
• Generative AI Proficiency:  Experience utilizing AI tools such as Nano Banana, Flux.2, Gemini, or Seedance 2.0 (ComfyUI experience is a strong plus). You should know how to leverage these tools for brainstorming, generating style tests, visualizing multi-angle views, colorizing, or creating animation tests from still artwork—without overusing them or substituting raw AI generation for final, hand-crafted assets.
• Passion for Emerging Tech:  Enthusiastic about the ways the latest generative AI technologies can empower creative talent, with informed opinions on which tools are the most helpful and effective.
• Broad knowledge of video game development processes and an awareness of budget constraints.
• Comfortable delivering work in various formats, including 3D blockouts, thumbnails, loose sketches, and more detailed pieces.
• Effective communication skills, both in conveying ideas in a timely manner and working collaboratively within a team on a daily basis.
• Adaptable to working within given briefs and meeting deadlines while tailoring your approach to the specific task at hand.
• Open to receiving and integrating feedback to continually improve your work.

Additional Desired Skills/Experience:

• Prior experience in the game industry, whether indie or AAA.
• Experience working with mobile games.
• Experience with creating game assets such as UI design.
• Passion for AI, sci-fi, anime, escape room games, Otome games.
